A Busy March

We’ve had great response from members who are planning to participate in one or both of our upcoming concerts, and now we’re excited about the numerous rehearsal opportunities. If you’ve already told us you are coming to specific concerts or rehearsals, please make sure these dates are on your calendar.

March 2, 1 p.m.
March 10, 1 p.m. - this is our regular gathering at the Concord Music School
March 16, 1:30 p.m.
March 23, 1 p.m.
March 30, 1 p.m.

CONCERTS
Bass Hall, Peterborough -April 6, 3 p.m.

Portsmouth Library - April 13, 3 p.m.

March Gathering

Our March gathering will be a rehearsal of all our concert tunes. You don’t have to play in one of our spring concerts to enjoy this event. We welcome newcomers to all our gatherings. Note that clocks “spring ahead” that weekend so don’t forget to change your clock or you’ll be an hour late!

February Workshop Recap

We enjoyed an inspiring workshop the Jeremiah McLane. He put particular emphasis on the importance of chords, and having the melody players be aware of what was going on chord wise, as that influences the overall effect of the tune. In one tune we explored alternate chords. Plus, we learned three great new tunes!

Welcome New Members

Recent weeks have brought us new members! We extend a warm welcome to Tom Ferry (guitar and button accordion), Jasper Cottle (bodhran and guitar), and Anneliese Papinsick, piano and melodion). Get to know something about Jasper Cottle.
