Our June 9 Gathering

Our final gathering for the 2023/24 program year is fast approaching. This month we will play two tunes in 3/4 time from Alan Wilson, our Tune Master. Click here for the dots and here to learn more about them.

Then we’ll play through the rest of the tunes we’ve enjoyed throughout the year, from September on. If you haven’t yet printed them out you can find them on our Music Library page. Click on each month to find the tunes.

Before the tea break we’ll have our (postponed from May) brief annual meeting. Following tea, stick around for the jam session. Bring your session book, if you have one. If not, we’ll have extras.

Tune Tales

As we plan the workshops for our next program year your board of directors would like your input. Which workshop leaders should we invite back? Please fill out the survey below to let us know which workshops you enjoyed - or didn’t. You can also let us know of any musicians you would like us to try to schedule for the coming year.

Summer Picnic Potluck & Jam

Although SMC takes the summer months off, don’t despair. It’s really only the month of July when we don’t meet. Traditionally the last Sunday in August is the day for our annual potluck and jam session. Anne and Clete Baier have once again agreed to host this event at their beautiful home in Bow, which will fall on August 25. So mark your calendar and keep an eye out for an email from Anne with more details as the date approaches. Bring along your bathing suit and towel, your favorite family member, musical instrument, session book,, a dish to share, and a friend who is looking to join our fun and friendly group.
