From Your Music CommitteeYour SMC Music Committee has met several times this summer to put together the best ever set of tunes for our next concert series. You will find them under the Music / Concert Tunes tab on our website (click here). Remember to print all music single-sided. In an effort to prevent confusion over multiple versions of the concert tunes, we’ll be trying something new this year: everyone will be responsible for making minor changes to their personal copies, such as adding or eliminating repeats, chord changes, and note corrections. Updates to the music files on the website will only be made for major changes, such as the addition of a new harmony. After each rehearsal, a single file of performance notes will be updated online. Check this file to make sure your music includes all the latest changes. In order to make the most of limited rehearsal time, please come prepared with current music and updated notes, and please keep suggestions during the rehearsal to a minimum. If you have a good idea, talk to one of the music committee members during a break or after the rehearsal.
